As part of their community involvement in Western Pennsylvania, ATI relied upon the design talents of Vance Wright Adams And Associates in their partnership with the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team to honor our nation's soldiers.
ATI sponsors two Zamboni® Ice Machines to portray how ATI's Mission Critical Metallics® "Protect our Troops." The two ice machines were designed by Vance Wright Adams And Associates and are themed accordingly — 'ATI Stars & Stripes' and 'ATI Titanium.' This season, ATI has joined the Penguins in honoring the service of Pittsburgh area veterans at their home games by featuring these deserving men and women on the large PensVision scoreboard during intermission, and inviting each soldier to be a passenger on one of the new Zambonis.
ATI produces both titanium and steel armors for many land-based military vehicles which are currently in use overseas.
In addition, Vance Wright Adams provided its services for the creation of replica miniature Zamboni® Ice Machines to support ATI's Veteran's Day "Support Our Heroes" campaign, a partnership with McDonald's®, First Niagara Bank and the Pittsburgh Penguins to generate funds for the Wounded Warrior Project™, Operation Troop Appreciation, the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Pittsburgh.
